What Ninety Minutes on the Lane Actually Looks Like
Nothing here is a secret process. If you know what is coming, you show up ready and we spend the time on the club instead of on explanations.
Bring the Clubs You Are Frustrated With
The single most useful thing you can bring is your current gamer, however old and beat up it is. A session that starts with a stranger's demo club is missing its own control group. We measure your clubs before we measure anything else, and half the time what we find in those measurements changes the plan for the rest of the session.
Wear the shoes you play in. Spikes change your relationship to the ground, and ground is half of what we are reading. Skip the range beforehand if you can — we want your ordinary swing, not your warmed-up-and-grooved swing, because ordinary is what shows up on the first tee.

- A rough sense of your typical miss, described in your own words
- Any club that feels good, even if it does not match the rest of the bag
Ground mark: where the sole first touches down relative to the ball, and how far past it the low point sits.
The Session, Stage by Stage
Times below are for a standard single-club block. Longer blocks stretch the trial stage; they do not add extra stages.

Sit Down and Talk
What you play, where you play it, what makes you angry on the course, and what you would actually change if the equipment could change it. This is also where we find out whether a fitting is the right purchase at all. Occasionally the answer is that it is not, and we would rather find that out in the first ten minutes than in the last ten.

Measure What You Own
Loft, lie, length, swingweight, shaft frequency, and grip size on the clubs you brought. Written down on the sheet before a single ball is struck. It is not unusual to find a set where three irons are a degree apart from where they should be, and that discovery reframes everything that follows.

Baseline Swings With Spray
You hit your own club, face sprayed, until we have a block of swings worth reading. Nobody is watching the monitor yet. We are collecting the face mark and, on anything hit off the deck, the ground and path marks too. The mishits count. Please do not apologise for them; they are the most informative swings of the day.

Read the Marks Together
We put the face chart and the turf trace in front of you and say what we see. Vertical spread, heel or toe bias, where the low point is landing, whether the divot direction agrees with the start line. This is the part customers usually remember, because for most people it is the first time anybody has described their contact in specifics rather than adjectives.

Trial the Changes That Follow From the Marks
Now the monitor earns its place. Every component we hand you is chosen because the marks predicted it would help, and we say what we expect to happen before you swing. When the prediction holds, the change is real. When it does not, we discard it and move on rather than talking ourselves into it.

Write the Spec Sheet
Head model, shaft model and weight, playing length, lie, loft, swingweight target, grip and wrap count. One page, printed, yours to keep. If you order the build from us, the sheet becomes the work order. If you do not, it is still a complete and honest set of specs you can take anywhere.
The Build and the Follow-Up
Ordering
Heads and shafts we stock go straight to the bench. Special orders from the manufacturer generally run eight to fifteen business days depending on the brand and the season. We tell you which category your build falls into before you pay anything.
Assembly
Every club is assembled here, then re-measured after curing. Frequency, swingweight, loft, and lie are all checked against the spec sheet, and the finished numbers get written next to the target numbers so you can see the tolerance we hit.
Thirty-Day Check
Come back within a month of picking up the build and we will recheck lie and loft, adjust anything that has drifted, and read a fresh face mark against the one from your session. No charge on that visit.
