A Regripping Table That Got Out of Hand
Flush Lab Golf opened in 2011 in about four hundred square feet, doing regrips and shaft pulls for people who were tired of dropping clubs off and waiting a week. There was no fitting side to the business at first. What there was, from the very beginning, was a habit of spraying every club that came across the table and looking at the face before touching anything.
That habit turned into the business. Customer after customer came in asking for a stiffer shaft or a stronger loft, and the spray kept showing the same thing: contact scattered across the face, or grouped a half inch below centre, or drifting toward the heel on every full swing. Changing the shaft on a club that was never being struck in the same place twice was solving the wrong problem, and saying so out loud cost us a few sales and earned us a lot of repeat customers.
By 2014 the fitting side had grown enough to need its own lane. Today the shop runs two indoor lanes and a short outdoor turf strip along the back of the building, and the bench in the rear does every build we sell.

A Launch Monitor Answers the Wrong Question If You Ask It Too Early
We own the equipment and we use it constantly. The disagreement we have with the standard fitting script is about the order of operations, not about the tools.
Numbers Describe the Strike You Made
Launch angle, spin, and ball speed are all downstream of impact location. Move the contact half an inch and every one of those figures moves with it. If contact is wandering, the readout is describing a moving target, and the fitter is essentially averaging noise and calling it a conclusion.
Marks Describe the Pattern Underneath
Face spray and turf trace show the pattern rather than the individual result. Once the pattern is on the table, the monitor becomes genuinely useful: we can predict what a spec change should do and then confirm it, instead of hunting for a combination that happens to produce one good number.
What Each Room Is For
Enclosed Lane
Full net and screen, radar and camera both running. This is where baselines get taken and where every driver session starts, because the enclosure keeps wind out of the data.
Turf Lane
Set up with a hitting surface that takes a real divot, so ground marks are honest. Iron and wedge work lives here. It is also where we test sole grinds against a firm base.
Outdoor Turf
A short natural-grass strip along the back wall. Not a range — you are hitting into a screen — but the lie is real, and in July it is as firm as anything you will find on a course here.
The Bench
Frequency analyser, swingweight scale, loft and lie machine, bore-through puller, and a curing rack. Nothing leaves without being measured after assembly, not just before.
The Rack Wall
Every demo head and shaft we own is on open shelving where customers can pick things up. If something is not on the wall, we will tell you rather than pretend we can source anything.
Walk-In Bench Work
Regrips, loft and lie checks, and single-club repairs get handled at the counter while you wait when the schedule allows. No appointment needed for those.
Not Only Low Handicaps
Roughly half the people who book a lane here play to a handicap above eighteen, and a good number have never had any club measured in their life. Fitting is often described as something you graduate into once you are good enough, which gets the logic backwards: a player with inconsistent contact has more to gain from equipment that tolerates their pattern than a player who already finds the centre of the face.
We also see a steady stream of juniors from the Upper Valley and Canutillo, and a lot of Fort Bliss families who arrive mid-tour with a set that was fitted somewhere at sea level and now behaves strangely at this altitude.
